I finally have the computer.... YAY!!! Its a hott commodity here, and i finally have my turn. :)
Last time i wrote, i asked for you to pray for me because i was going to the school for the first time. I wanted to thank you for praying, and let you know that everything went really good! We received the schedule for all the classes two days ago,and have been planning out our schedule for the following weeks. We will be sitting in on classes all this week to get a feel for how the school system works. So far, i have been to three classes. The system used here is in poor condition, and there are no lesson plans in sight! The students are eager to learn, but the resources are limited.
Today, i will sitting in on two more classes. YAY! i also get to read a letter from Caitlin, i am sooo excited! She gave Baylee and I a folder full of letters to read while we are in Uganda.
I have also received my assignment to my special needs student. Her name is Gloria. She is in a wheelchair, and had to go to the hospital yesterday for a check up. She has seizures sometimes, and goes to town to get checked ever so often. Pray that the LORD will use me to minister to her, and the other special needs children. I was able to spend time with Sam, another disabled student, yesterday too. He is in a wheel chair and cant feel anything from the waist down. We strolled along the road, and played around the slide yesterday. He loved it. Sam is one of those children who grabs your heart and will never let go. I cant wait to post some pictures of the children on here. I just need to find a faster internet connection. ha
The showers are still cold. But, the girls are moving to another building later this afternoon. I cant wait to have more space, and a hot shower.
There is a team coming in today. Pray for their safety in traveling. They will be here for two weeks. Amanda is also coming today. She will be here for the next two years as a tutor for the missionary's children.
Sorry, i have to go so quickly! This is an abrupt stop to the post. I will write later.
In Christ.
